Step into history with UCAN’s BUILDBLACK Program—an empowering and intergenerational journey aimed at reclaiming spaces that once held the legacy of enslaved bodies. Join us as we embark on a transformative mission to repurpose land and buildings, turning painful narratives into spaces of resilience and growth.
Our program is a unique opportunity to bring together skilled workers from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaboration and shared learning. Together, we’ll harness our collective expertise to revitalize these historic spaces, honoring the past while shaping a more inclusive and equitable future.
BUILDBLACK KICKOFF
Our kickoff for our BUILDBLACK program was wonderful! Our BUILDBLACK volunteers, alongside Mr. Robinson, dedicated themselves to the restoration of the Intergenerational House. It was a day filled with hard work, valuable learning experiences, and a strong sense of community.
